A. H. Brown was born in York, Pa., July 29, 1819; died in Lone Tree, Ia, July 27, 1907, age 88 years and 7 days. He was married to Susan Knob, Oct. 5th, 1845. Came to Iowa in the spring of 1858, settling in Johnson county where he resided until his death. He was the father of five children two son and three daughters. His wife and one son and two daughters preceded him to the spirit world. He leaves one son, W. H. Brown, of Horton, Kan and a daughter, Mrs. John Frances, of Lone Tree. The funeral was held Monday at 3. p. m. in the Methodist church, conducted by Rev. Adams, assisted by Revs. Black and Herrick; interment in the Lone Tree cemetery.
