Catnip Ridge, February 25- Our community was shocked to hear of the sudden death of James Nelson Longquist who died at the home of his father last Tuesday evening, being sick only about eighteen hours. Had not been feeling well for a couple of days previous, but was around and able to be at school. The cause of death was diabetes, and all that loving hands or medical skill could do for him was of no avail. He was thirteen years, three months and ten days old, his mother dying when he was but four years of age, but since that time he has been tenderly cared for by a loving aunt and his father and one brother who remains to suffer this great loss. His funeral was held in the Christian chapel, Thursday at 10:30 o'clock, conducted by Rev. Black, of Lone Tree. After the sad rites were over his remains were followed by a large concourse of weeping and sorrowing friends to the Swank cemetery where he was laid to rest.
