This was from the May 5, 2005 issue of the Wapello Republican, Wapello, IA. (Yes, the newspaper spelled her namne Diana in one place and Dianna in the other). This is a cousin of mine and I would appreciate anyone who can put me in contact with her children, to please do so.

Diana Small

Dianna K. Small, 59, formerly of Wapello, Iowa, died on April 16, 2005 in Miami, Florida. She was the daughter of Bernard and Verna Gajewski and granddaughter of Christopher and Frances Gajewski of Sioux City and Vern and Lena Small of Wapello.

She had worked for many years as a massage therapist at Fisher Island in Miami; also on the island of St. Thomas and on the Greek cruise ship Triton.

Formerly a registered urse, she attended the Desert Institute for the Healing Arts in Tucson, Arizona and Gateway Technical Institute in Wisconsin. She graduated from Wapello High School in 1963. Her former husband is John Westfall, of Hales Corners, Wisconsin.
She is survived by her three children, Steve Westfall of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Jennifer Westfall Weinstein of Bangkok, Thiland, and Scott Westfall of Seattle, Washington; also her father Bernard Gajewski and step-mother Lucy Olson Gajewski of Gladstone, Illinois; a sister, Connie Cajewski of Tucson; a brother, Dan Gajewski of Salisbury, North Carolina; and four step-brothers, Glenn Olson of Biggsville, ILlinois, Jerry Olson of Carman, Illinois, Robert Olson of Carmen and Richard Olson, rural Biggsville.

She was preceded in death by her mother and grandparents.

A memorial service will be held at 3 pm Saturday, May 7 for friends and relatives at Hend Co-Hills Golf Course clubhouse, one mile west of Biggsville on U.S. 34. A luncheon will follow.

No memorial fund has been established.
