Mrs. John Jacobs dead. Mary Morris was born in South Wales April 16, 1835. She died at her home in Columbus City, February 26, 1906, consequently was almost 71 years of age. She came to America in 1841. May 2, 1858, she was married to John Jacobs, who, with five of the six children born to them, survive to mourn. Mrs. Jacobs was a quiet, unassuming but good woman, who will be greatly missed by family and friends. All the children present at the funeral which took place from the home Wednesday, at 1:30 o'clock p. m. conducted by Rev. Roberts, of the Welsh Congregational church. The surviving children are Mrs. Ella Biggs, who is at home; Mrs. Mary Mohlie, near Wapello; David, at Cedar Rapids and Thomas and Robert of Paris Missouri.
