Johnnie Gardner funeral. The last sad rites were held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the home of the parents, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Gardner, on South hill. The day was perfect one and a large concourse of people filled the house and grounds. Rev. Kendrick conducted the services and spoke in the highest terms of the deceased and the most comforting words to the stricken family. The pall bearers were: Lenly Mize, Arthur Noland, Reuben Blair, Leon Thompson, James Smith and Harry Robertson. All that was mortal of John C. Gardner was tenderly laid to rest in the Columbus city cemetery.
