Eddie Roy Cassabaum, seventeen year old sin of William Cassabaum, died quite suddenly at his father's home, near Columbus City, Monday about eleven o'clock in the morning. He had been in his usual good health up to Sunday noon, when he complained of not feeling well. The family were visiting at a neighbor's at the time. He was taken home and seemed some better when he went to bed at night and the folks thought he would be all right in the morning. But in the morning he was much worse; partially unconscious but not seemingly to suffer any. At eleven o'clock and quite unexpectedly, the end came. Eddie was a cripple, the result of a paralytic stroke received when six years of age, though his general health was always good. He leaves a father, three brothers and three sisters to mourn his departure. He has gone to meet his mother, who died only a little over a year ago. The funeral sermon was preached at the U. B. church at 4 o'clock, p. m., Tuesday, July 19, by Rev. William Ballard. Interment followed in the beautiful cemetery near by.
