Oscar Maine, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Maine, died Saturday night at about 8 o'clock. He had taken sick about a week before with typhoid pneumonia and medical help and good nursing proved unavailing to stem the progress of the disease. He was about nineteen years of age and has lived with his parents in this place for several years. He was an excellent young man, trusty, industrious, no bad habits and loved by all who knew him. He was a member of the Christian church. He leaves to mourn his loss his parents, two brothers, Robert and William and two sisters. His funeral took place from the Christian church at 11 o'clock Monday, conducted by Rev. Chas. Blanchard, of that denomination. Interment followed in the Wapello cemetery.
