August Lorenz, an old settler at Wapello is dead. His death occurred Tuesday afternoon and was very sudden, as he had been working all forenoon and seemed to be in his usual good health. He had just eaten his dinner and was sitting at the table talking to his wife, when he fell from his chair dead. He was about eighty years of age and leaves two sons, Julius and Henry, both residents of Chicago and one daughter, Mrs. Gregory, of Wapello township.
