Mrs. Riley Carr, whose maiden name was Rachel Crim, died at her home in Union township last Thursday, March 31, at 2 o'clock P. M. after an illness of something over two weeks of pneumonia. She was born, brought up and married in Union township, and her whole life of fifty-two years had been spent in the same neighborhood. She had been a member of the Reformed church for many years. She leaves one child a daughter, about seventeen years of age, a husband and many other relatives to mourn her death. The funeral occurred on Saturday at 11 o'clock at Bethel church in Union township, conduced by Rev. Staudt, pastor of the Reformed church in Columbus Junction.
