Sarah Jones was born in Wales, eighty years ago. Her maiden name was Tudor. She came to America when quite young. Her first husband was a Mr. Evans. One child was born to them, a daughter, the wife of D. R. Hughes. After the death of her first husband she was married to Humphrey Jones who died some years ago.

Mrs. Jones has been a continuous resident of the Welsh neighborhood for 57 yeas and was a charter member of the first Welsh church ever organized in the county, if not the state. Her funeral which occurred Tuesday was largely attended, not withstanding the intensely cold weather. Funeral occurred at the Welsh Congregationalist church; burial at Cambrain cemetery.
