Nellie Ethel Woodruff, daughter of B. F. and Maud Woodruff, after a lingering illness of that dread disease consumption, passed away at her home in Columbus City township, October 5, at 4 o'clock p. m., aged 14 years, 10 months and 24 days. Besides her parents she leaves two brothers, two sisters, and many who are her near and dear relatives and friends and who deeply feel her loss. She was exceedingly kind in her disposition, sweet in her temper and never needed correction, neither at home or in school and always graded above her years. She was converted when only eight years old. Her funeral was largely attended; it was held at the Long Creek church, Tuesday and was conducted by Rev. W. R. Woodruff.
