People in Fredonia were shocked today to learn of the sudden death at Ardon of Mrs. Hannah Van Dyke. She had lived nearly all her life, until quite recently in and near Fredonia. She was the second wife of the late J. Van Dyke, one of the first merchants to do business in that place. She had been ailing only since the Saturday before. On Sunday morning she partly dressed herself, but when she made an effort to get up, she collapsed and grew worse until her death Monday morning. She was a good, charitable christian woman and one who will be sincerely mourned by all who knew her. She was brought back to the cemetery at Fredonia for interment where she was laid beside members of the family who had goon before. The funeral was held from the M. E. church, Fredonia, yesterday at 2 o'clock in the afternoon.
