E. R. Woodard, died at his home in Burlington, April ? and his remains were buried in Columbus City cemetery Tuesday, April 16. He was born in Coventry, New York, in 1822. His early manhood was spent in Michigan, where in ? he was married to Esther J. ? Four years later they moved to Iowa. In 1886 they removed to Louisiana on account of the wife's poor health. She died in 1893. He then returned to Iowa. In 1898 he was married to Ellen A. Hjelm, who, with three children by the first wife, survive him. Funeral services were conducted by. Revs. Fouse and Drew.
