Stephen Crocker died on Friday last at the home of his mother in Port Allen. He was 53 years old on October 7, last, having been born in Michigan. He came to Iowa in May of 1854, living at or near Port Allen until 1887, when he went to Kansas, where he lived two years, moved later to Oklahoma City, where he engaged in the butcher business, and which place was his home at the time of his death. he died of dropsy of the liver and heart, having been sick about three years. He came to his mother's home about six weeks ago. He leaves a wife and two children, the eldest, Fannie, 24 years old, living with her mother in El Rino, Oklahoma. The son, Fred, is 21 years old, and came to his father's bedside about three weeks ago. Mr. Crocker was an old time member of the Odd fellows lodge at this place. The funeral was conducted at Port Allen last Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock by Rev. Fouse.
