Columbus City, May 18 - Died, at his home five miles northwest of Columbus City on May 14, 1897, Captain William H. Johnson, aged 78 years and 26 days. He was born in Queenstown, Canada, April 17, 1819, and was a son of Alexander and Amoret (Hamm) Johnston. In 184 he was married to Emily Hight of Albany, Vermont. To them were born three children: Laura, wife of A. Merrill, Clara and Orlo, all of whom, with his wife, survive to mourn his loss.
