Wednesday, August 12, 1896 page 5Thomas Orr died yesterday morning at his home west of Cone. He had been afflicted with consumption for two years past. He was about sixty years of age. The funeral was held to-day at Oakland church, interment in Oakland cemetery.

The funeral services of Thomas J. Orr was held at Oakland Christian church, August 12, 1896, by Rev. Mein. Mr. Orr was born October 26, 1837; was united in marriage with Miss Hester Doder, March 17, 1859 and died Aug 11, 1896, being 29 years of age. He was a kind father and companion and beloved by all who knew him. He leaves a wife and six children to mourn his loss.
