On Sunday last occurred the death at his home in Morning Sun, of Wm Vertrees. He had been an invalid for many years and his demise had been looked for at any time during the last few months. He was a son of Josiah and Susan Jamison Vertrees, two of Louisa county's earliest pioneers. He leaves a wife and two grown daughters, besides many relatives and a host of friends to mourn his loss. He was about fifty years old at the time of his death.
