Thos. J. Griffith died at the home of his parents in the Welsh neighborhood Monday morning, July 13. He was born in Madison county, New York in 1864. In 1881 he removed with his parents to this county, but late went to Des Moines, where he resided for six years. He returned here on Christmas 1894, since which time he has lived in this vicinity. Last April quick consumption fastened itself upon him and the end came last Monday. He leaves a son of eight years besides many other relatives. The funeral was held in the Welsh Congregational church yesterday, interment in the cemetery adjoining. His brother E. E. Griffith, of this place, was with him at the last, as was also a brother from Wellman.
