Died at her home near Newport, May 1 Mrs. Mary Dotson, aged eighty nine years. Mrs. Dotson was born in England but emigrated to America with her parents when but a babe. She had been a resident of Iowa since 1844 and of Louisa county since 1849. He husband died twenty years ago. She was the mother of Jos. M. Dotson of this place. The funeral was held at Fairview church last Sunday.
