Letts, March 11- The funeral of Miss Effie Holiday took place at the M. E. church Thursday at 11 a. m. Rev. Pugh conducted the services. The church was appropriately decorated with flowers for the occasion and the choir rendered some excellent music that helped the sorrowing to look beyond the grave for comfort. Miss Effie looked as though she were asleep as she lay in the beautiful white casket. She was a lovely girl, beloved by all who knew her and early in life had learned to follow Christ as her example. She was 16 years and 9 months old. Her death is mourned by a father, mother, brother and a host of friends and relatives. She was granddaughter of Chas. Furnas of this vicinity.
