Henry Himmelreich was born in Buffalo township, Union county, Pennsylvania, December 31, 1820. He emigrated with his parents in an early day to Wayne county, Ohio, and settled near Wooster, the county seat from whence in the fall of 1854 he came with his family to Louisa county, Iowa, and settled where he lived until his death, which occurred Aug. 15, 1894. He was married to Miss Edith Sigafoos December 31, 1844. To them were born ten children; five sons and five daughters, eight of which, with his wife have precceded him across the river, leaving one daughter, Charity C., and one son T. T., and seven grandchildren to mourn his loss. He was buried at the Yankeetown cemetery on the 17 inst. This one more of the old settlers has done to the vast unknown.
