Letts, July 23 - The death of Geo. W. Wagner of our vicinity, which occurred on the 14th, was quite a loss to the community. Mr. Wagner was a son Philip Wagner who was one of our old citizens and one who was highly respected. He was a large landholder, owning one of the best improved farms in Louisa county. George succeeded his father and got the old home residence, D. H. Westbrook and Alex Heidlebaugh sharing in the landed estate. George was a son-in-law of our fellow townsman, H. N. P. Small. His death, occurring so suddenly as it did, was a great shock to his friends as well as all out citizens. His funeral on Monday the 16th was largely attended.
