After a sickness extending over a period of two years, Thurman O'Connor passed over the dark river Saturday evening last, March 24. He was born in December 1873, consequently had not yet arrived at the full age of manhood. He had grown up in this vicinity and if her ever had an enemy, we never heard of it. "Thurmy" was always a good boy. During his long sickness he had all the care that loving hands could bestow. The funeral occurred from the Methodist church Sunday at 2:30 o'clock. A large concourse of people testified by their presence to their appreciation of the dead and their respect for the living. Rev Pusey delivered an able discourse, directed to the young men especially, from the text, "Rejoice, oh young man, in they strength." Both parents and two brothers survive him.
