Columbus Gazette, Columbus Junction, Iowa Thursday, June 22, 1893 page 1

Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Wagner mourn the loss of their infant son, Carl Leroy, who departed this life Friday, June 16, 1893, aged five months and fifteen days, after an illness of something over a week. The first trouble was indigestion which developed into cholera infantum. The funeral was held from the M. S. church in Fredonia on Saturday at 11 o'clock. Rev. Williams of the Presbyterian church of this place conducted the services. The little form was laid to rest in the Indian Creek cemetery while the spirit dwells safely with Him who says, "Suffer little children to come unto me and forbid them not for of such is the kingdom of God."
