Spring Run, June 13- Misses Julie Buffington and Lina Bashford witnessed the burial of Frank Wykert Tuesday afternoon at the Long Creek cemetery.

Mr. and Mrs. Wm Lavery and Mr. and Mrs. Lon Wagoner attended the funeral services Frank Wykert Monday. (see story below for clarification)

On Saturday June 3, Mr. Frank Wykert left his wife and children at home for a few hours while her went fishing with a few of his neighbors. He had been gone only a short time until the news was carried to his family that he was dead. The men were fishing in Long creek near Mr. Gauss'. Mr. Wykert was walking in rather deep water, when he was supposed to have taken the cramp, and drowned before the others could help him. His sisters, Mrs. Osterreicher and Mrs. Williams were telegraphed for immediately and arrived Tuesday morning. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. LeCornu at he Long creek church, 2 o'clock Monday, but the remains were held until Tuesday , waiting the arrival of his sisters. They were then buried in the Long Creek cemetery. Mr. Wykert leaves a wife and four small children to mourn his loss besides other relatives and a host of friends. It is always sad to have death enter our homes, but still more to have it come unexpectedly. Mrs. Osterreicher will return to her home in Nebraska in a few days, but Mrs. Williams will remain for a while with relatives.
