Madison Vandevert, father of Mrs. G. W. Riley of this place, died at his home in Grandview at one o'clock Wednesday, January 18. He had been an invalid for many years and was quite and old man. He had long been a consistent member and enthusiastic worker in the Methodist church; for nearly half a century. He was buried to-day at the Grandview cemetery.
