Death visited the home of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Boyd, Oakland, last Monday, claiming their infant babe of a little over three months. The little child was the victim of whooping cough and suffered intense agony up until the time of its death. The bereaved parents have the sympathy of the community.

(second article, same page) Died Iva May, infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Boyd, in Oakland township, with whooping cough, Monday, August 8th. aged nine weeks and one day. She was laid to rest in the Foster cemetery Tuesday.
