The death of Evan E. Bebb, which occurred at his home in this place, Saturday last, was very unexpected as he had been sick but a week. He was born in Ohio and at the time of his death was nearly sixty years old. came to Iowa early in the 50's. Was a member of company D. of the Fifth Iowa Volunteers. Was married after the war to the wife who survives to mourn his loss. Six children were the result of this union, five of whom still live. The funeral occurred, Sunday, under the suspfces of the G. A. R. post, of this place, of which he was a member. Rev. Chew preached the funeral discourse.
