Mr. Cyrus Morgan, a hardware merchant, died March 4th, and was buried Sunday, March 6th. The funeral services were impressive and out to have impressed every one there is One "that gave and taketh away" There were conducted by all three of our pastors. He leaves a wife, daughter and two sons to mourn his loss. Mr. Morgan was born in Ohio, in 1834; married Clara Drake and moved to Wapello in 1861, and resided here sine. He was a man of impeached moral, a Christian since boyhood, a kind friend and father and a better neighbor could not be found. Although it was snowing Sunday, a large number of sorrowful friends followed the remains to the cemetery where they will rest until Christ shall say "Arise."
