On Sunday evening, Daniel Sullivan, another Junction boy and brother of Wm. Sullivan of this place, was killed by an engine in the railroad yards at cedar Rapids. He was buried from the Catholic church, Tuesday at 2 o'clock.

Was born at Fox Lake, Wisconsin, May 8, 1857, and died at Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Sunday, March 8, 1891. He was therefore a little less than 34 years of age. He came with his parents to Louisa county, Iowa, in 1865, and has made this his home ever since. His mother died in July 1877. Besides a father, he leaves two brothers, Wm. and John of this place, and four sisters, Mrs. Sheppard, of Minneapolis, and Misses Maria of Davenport, Kate of Cedar Rapids, and Ann, who has long made her home with Mrs. Julia Williams, of this place, to mourn his untimely death. Mr. Sullivan was a member of the Ancient Order of Hibern and also of the A. O. U. W. He carried insurance on his life amounting to $4000. He would have been married to Miss Anna Goodrow of Cedar Rapids, had he lived till the coming May. He was buried from the Catholic church of this town, Tuesday, March 10, at 2 o'clock. Rev. Father Moran officiating. About forty fellow Hibernians and other friends from Cedar Rapids came down to attend the obsequies. The remains were interred in the cemetery at Columbus City.
