OBITUARY.

Judith A. Buckner was born in Monroe county, Indiana, March 25, 1844. She came with her parents to Louisa county in her childhood, where in February, 1872, she was untied in marriage to Frederick G. Bates. With him she lived happily until 1879 when she was called to mourn his loss. Since that time she and her children, of whom there were five, lived together: two of these preceding her to the spirit world. Three of these, with an aged mother remain to mourn her loss. Her death occurred March 1st; her disease, consumption. She died in the triumphs of a Christian faith. Short funeral services were held at the residence conducted by Rev. chew. The remains were interred in the cemetery in Union township, Monday.
