Oct 21- Myrtle Hendrix, daughter of Ira Hendrix, died with the Diptheria last Tuesday. There are no other cases that have been reported.

FROM ANOTHER CORRESPONDENT.

Ira Hendrix, family have been called upon to mourn the loss of their 14-year-old daughter, Myrtie, whose spirit departed this life Wednesday morning, Oct. 16. Her illness was brief but painful, and when her death was announced it fell like an electric shock upon her friends, of which she had many was was shown when the scholars of our school heard the sad tidings and not a dry eye was seen. ..... The bereaved family have the heartfelt sympathy of the whole community. What is our loss is heaven's gain. Myrtie had lived a beautiful Christian life for more than a year and died sweetly trusting in Jesus. her funeral will be preached as soon as the family are permitted to leave their home.
