OBITUARY.
Walter Scott Hughes was born in Ebensburg, Penn., June 29, 1863. Departed this life July 8, 1889, aged 26 years and 10 days. In 1868, he moved with the family to New Cam?...... he returned to Clifton where he remained until his death. He was married to Miss Rosa E. Wehr, October 29, 1885. There was born to them but one child. Mr. Hughes was a useful business man. The community in about Clifton will miss him very much, as will his wife. He had a great attachment to his family and home. During the 7 years Mr. Hughes lived in Clifton, for three or four first years there was never more than two weeks between his letters and for the last two or three years there were never more than four weeks between his letters. The loss of his interesting and regular correspondence will be a great loss to his aged father, indeed. Thanks to the friends and neighbors for their kindness during our bereavement.
