Died – In Concord township, January 5th, 1888, Mrs. Viola Ann Gallop, aged 20 years, 2 months, and 23 days. She was a daughter of J. A. Shoup of this place and was married to G. A. Gallup, December 14th last. She was a woman with many friends, kind and affectionate. Her death was heavy blow to her parents and sisters and a sad, sad affair to all. The remains were buried at Indian Creek Cemetery. Funeral services were held at the M.E. church, Fredonia, Saturday, January, 7th, conducted by Rev. Aura Smith.
