Funeral Tuesday for G. H. Beck.

George Henry Beck, former Yarmouth resident and father of Charles H. Beck of Morning Sun, died Sunday, February 11 a Memorial hospital in Mt. Pleasant following a heart attack. Mr. Beck, for more than six years manager of the Farmers Union Cooperative store in Mt. pleasant, had been in ill health for several months.

Beck was the con of Charles F. and Katherine E. Fye Beck, and was born at Yarmouth on December 15, 1885. On August 30, 1911, he was married, also at Yarmouth, to Laura Fish. They lived on a farm near Yarmouth until six ad one half years ago, when Beck became manager of the Farmers Union store.

The widow survives, as do two sons and three daughters: Charles H. Beck, Morning Sun; Stanley Beck, Forest City; Mrs. Elvira Helphrey, Mt. Union; Mrs. Katherine Coberly, Mt. Pleasant; and Mrs. Anita Gooch, Canton, Illinois.

Also surviving are two sisters; Mrs. Clara Hinrichson, New London; and Mrs. Ola Gabeline, Mediapolis and eight grandchildren.

Services were held at First Methodist church at 2:30 Tuesday afternoon. Officiating were Rev. B. E. Spross and Rev. James Marlin, Burial was in Trinity cemetery.
