Former Morning Sun Resident Dead

Mrs. Almina Wilson, former Morning Sun resident, died January 21 in Muscatine nursing home following a long period of failing health. Until she moved to Muscatine a few years ago Mrs. Wilson was a resident of this community and is widely known here.

Mrs. Wilson was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Elliott and was born on the Elliot homestead near Morning Sun. On March 4, 1897 she married Samuel F. Wilson who died on February 21, 1927. Surviving are a son, Kenneth Wilson who lives in Rock Island, Illinois, and two brothers, Rev. D. H. Elliott, Pittsburgh, and R. B. Elliott Parksville, Mo. Also surviving are four grandchildren. One son, Harold Wilson, is dead.

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Wittich funeral home in Muscatine and burial was in Elmwood cemetery in Morning Sun.
