Gerralen L. Crieger, 73 of Clinton, passed away Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at Mercy One Hospital. According to her wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. A private celebration of life will be held at a later date. The Pape Funeral Home is assisting the family. Online condolences may be left at www.papefh.com .

Gerralen was born in Louisa County, IA on November 11, 1946, the daughter of Isaac and Nellie Mae (Skidmore) Crieger. She graduated from Columbus Junction High School. Gerralen worked at International Paper for 20 years and later as a security guard for years. She was an avid reader and enjoyed working on crossword puzzles.

Gerralen is survived by her daughter Katina (Andrew) Velo of Dubuque; grandson Brogan (Tirzah) Richardson of Dubuque; great granddaughter Isla Richardson; three sisters, Shirley Reid of Moline, IL, Marsha (Richard) Crieger-Weber of Muscatine, Denise Brown of Clinton, a brother Darrell (Pat) Crieger of Fruitland, IA and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Elaine Hazelwood, Barbara Crieger, Karen Crieger and Hilda Brogan.
