Wapello, Ia., July 28. – L. K. Potter, who has been ill for many months, died Monday at his home in this city. Mr. Potter spent the winter with his son, Maurice, at Tacoma, Wash., and since his return had failed rapidly.
Mr. Potter was born near Muscatine, Aug. 10, 1852, but came to Wapello with his parents when two years of age. They settled on a farm near this city and the greater part of his life was spent there. On April 5, 1876, Mr. Potter married Miss Kate Wiederrecht, who with the following children survives; Mrs. Zora Wright, of Wapello; Mrs. Greta Schulze, of Livingston, Mont., and Maurice Potter, of Tacoma, Wash. He is also survived by three brothers and one sister; C. C. Potter, of Des Moines; O. N. Potter, Akron, O.; G. S. Potter, of Wapello, and Mrs. Jennie McClanahan, of Monmouth, Ill.
Funeral arrangements await the arrival of relatives.
