Harlan H. Schwob

Harlan H. Schwob, 80, of Bethany Samaritan Heights, Rochester, Minn., died Friday, Aug. IO, 1990, at Bethany Samaritan Heights.
He was born June 8, 1910, in Wapello. He married Mary Ellen Nugent Sept. 16, 1936. She died in 1982.
He was a graduate of the University of Iowa. He was a civil engineer with the federal government in flood control. He was a veteran of World War II and was a major in the Corps of Engineers, serving in Australia and New Zealand. He moved from Wapello to Rochester, Minn., in 1989.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy M. (Robert) Gasner, Rochester, Minn., and Mrs. Sally I. (Edward) Peters, Chicago, Ill.; two sons, John H. Schwob, Dallas, Tex., and Dr. James Schwob, Syracuse, N.Y.; two sisters, Mrs. Mary (Ronald) Archibald and Mrs. Virginia (Ralph) Stone, both of Wapello; three brothers, Robert Schwob, Thomas Schwob, and Richard Schwob, all of Wapello; 12 grandchildren ; six step - grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
A memorial graveside service for Mr. Schwob will be l l a m. Thursday in Wapello Cemetery.
A memorial has been established for the Mayo Foundation for Cancer Research.
Macken Funeral Home, Rochester, Minn., is in charge of arrangements.
