Remains of Little Allen Hurlbut to Be Laid to Rest
The funeral of Little Allen Hurlbut, whose death occurred Friday morning, will be held tomorrow afternoon at 1 o'clock from the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Hurlbut, corner Eighth and Walnut streets.
Allen passed away with loved ones watched at the bedside. He had been ill for many weeks but the White Angel entered and bore the spirit of the little sufferer away. Death has closed the eyes of this bright and promising child while grief, deep and poignant, filled the hearts of those about the couch. Allen had been ill for some time, his health at best never having permitted him to be as active as his companions. For 15 weeks he had been confined to his bed, during which time he was given that loving attention and care which usually save loved ones the lives of their children. It was decreed, however, that little Allen was to be called away and though his devoted parents and loving brother and sisters mourn, they realize that it was for the best and that the little sufferer is now free from pain and care. He was seven years, five months and 16 days old. Those who mourn are the parents, Mr. and Mrs. A.J. Hurlbut, an aged grandmother, Mrs. M.C. Hurlbut, three sisters, Vada, Iva and Edna, and one brother, Paul.
