Morning Sun (IA) -- Mrs. Mary E. Courter, 80, formerly of Morning Sun, died Monday, March 15, in Oak Glen Nursing Home, Coal Valley, Illinois.

Born March 18, 1895, in Morning Sun, she was the daughter of James and Minnie Marshall Gregory. She married Russell W. Courter, September 30, 1912, in Burlington. She was a member of the Presbyterian church. Surviving: Son, Harry, Moline, Illinois; six grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Funeral: 2 p.m. Thursday, Pierce Funeral Home, Morning Sun; Elmwood cemetery.
