Conesville - Mrs. Madison L Sterling, lifelong resident of the Conesville Community, died at her home at 6 p.m. Tuesday.

The daughter of William and Rebecca Jane Reader, she was born in the county Dec. 10 1878. She first married to Harry Carney in 1894 and he died in 1911. Her marriage to Madison L. Sterling took place in April 1914.

Surviving are the husband three children, Mrs. Sam York of Iowa City, Mrs. Fay Naber, of Davenport, and Clark Carney of Conesville and three sisters, Mrs. Bessie Reynolds of Columbus Junction, Mrs. Nora Kary of Davenport and Mrs. Eva Church. Three children and a sister Mrs. Jennie Baker, preceded in death.

Funeral arrangements were indefinite today. The Kirchner Funeral home of Nichols is in charge.
