FUNERAL TODAY FOR BERT D. BROWN

Funeral services for Bert D. Brown, 71, a resident of Winfield, [Iowa] will be today at 2 p.m. in the Morning Sun Methodist Church with Rev. Robert T. Dodder in charge. Mr. Brown, a native of this community, was found dead in his Winfield home on New Year day. He was last known to be alive on Friday night and the Henry county coroner placed the time of his death as early Saturday morning, December 29.

Mr. Brown was born on a farm northwest of Morning Sun and until about 14 years ago he lived on that farm. He had moved to Winfield more than a year ago and was living there alone at the time of his death.

Mr. Brown is survived by the following nieces and nephews; Mr. and Mrs. Doyle Bozman, Morning Sun, [Iowa]; Mr. and Mrs. Hillis Brown, Oskaloosa [Iowa], Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Brown, St. Louis [Missouri] and Mrs. Audrene Richards, of Mt. Pleasant [Iowa].

Burial will be in Elmwood cemetery.
