Minnie Dircks

COLUMBUS JUNCTION —Mrs. Minnie Dircks, 87, died at 6:55 p.m, Tuesday at the Restopia nursing home, Columbus Junction.

Born Feb. 28, 1877 in Germany, the daughter of Joe and Elizabeth Frahn Gehrls.

Mrs. Dircks came to the United States when she was five years old. She married Henry J. Dircks, Oct. 8, 1896. He died May 2, 1951.

Surviving are two sons, Leo and Ralph, Columbus Junction: four daughters, Mrs. Howard Bell and Mrs. Earl Frisk, Columbus Junction; Mrs. Harlan Eliason, Boulder, Colo.; Mrs. Curtis Wells,
Washington, Iowa; and one brother, Carl Gehrls, Lowden. Also, 20 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Stacy funeral home at Columbus Junction with burial at Columbus City. Rev, Herbert Sunderman of the United Presbyterian church will officiate.
