Myra Arlene Buser, 83, of Columbus City, passed away on Tuesday, July 9, 2013, in Colona, Illinois. Funeral services were at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 14, 2013 at the Stacy-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services in Columbus Junction. Pastor Al Coffin officiated. Interment was in the Columbus City Cemetery. Following the interment, a time of food and fellowship was held at the Masonic Hall. Visitation was held on Saturday, July 13, 2013 from 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in Arlene’s name. Myra Arlene Boulton was born on December 20, 1929, in Columbus Junction, Iowa, the daughter of Glenn D. and Flossie L. (Pretz) Boulton. On October 31, 1950 Arlene was united in marriage to Robert G. Buser in Memphis, Missouri. She was a homemaker. Arlene was a member of Columbus City United Methodist Church, Methodist Adult Fellowship, United Methodist Women, C.C.I.C., Louisa Historical Society and the PTA. She received awards for her involvement with the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts. Arlene enjoyed quilting, researching genealogy, collecting dolls, growing flowers and spending time with her friends and family.

Arlene will be deeply missed by her five children, Rachel A. Buser of Wasilla, Alaska, Myra Nadine Wheeler and her husband, Craig of Columbus Junction, Susan D. Kallman and her husband, Tom of Moline, Illinois, Robert D. Buser and his wife, Sandy of Colona, Illinois and Debra Moon and her husband, Bill of Moline, Illinois; and 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
