Dwight Clark, 86, of Iowa City, died Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at the VA Hospital Iowa City.
Funeral services were Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at 11:00 am at the Columbus Junction United Methodist Church. Following the service, the American Legion Post 100 provided military honors. Visitation was Tuesday, May 28th at the church from 9:00 am until service time. Local arrangements are by Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home. Burial will be at a later date. A memorial has been established in Dwight’s name.

Dwight Hubert Clark was born May 12, 1927 in Melrose, IA, the son of Viola G. (Callen) Clark and L.H. Clark. He was a US Navy veteran of WWII, serving on the U.S.S. Nicholson DD442, and in 1955 Dwight was united in marriage to Mary Robina Pike in Orange County, CA. He was a member of the Columbus Junction United Methodist Church and had worked in banking financial offices and was a dispatcher for Pacific Intermountain Express. Dwight was an avid Iowa Hawkeye fan and especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Dwight will be dearly missed by his sons, John Todd Clark and wife, Dianne of Iowa City and Timothy Dwight Clark of Las Vegas, NV; brothers, Donald Clark and wife, Arlene of Columbus City, David Clark and wife, Sandra of Iowa City and James Dale Clark and wife, Janet of Redman, WA; and sister, Mary Darlene Olmstead and husband, Burl of Yakima, WA; and many nieces and nephews.

Dwight was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and sister, Dorothy McConahay.
