John D. Houseal, 72 of Glendale, Arizona, formerly of Davenport, Iowa passed away February 15, 2013 in Sun City, Arizona, surrounded by family and friends after a long illness.

John was born February 24, 1940 in Columbus Junction, Iowa to Rollo and Fannie Houseal. He was a barber for many years in Davenport and most recently in Sun City, AZ where he retired due to poor health.

He is survived by his wife, Jan, two children James (Colleen) of Davenport and Judi of Glendale, AZ, seven grandchildren and one great granddaughter, a brother Bud (Dorothy) of Burlington, IA, and several nieces and nephews.

He served in the navy from 1957-1961 and was a Past Master of Trinity Lodge 208 in Davenport. Per his request his body was donated to science, and then cremated. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
