Mennen, Cecil Herman, from Columbus Junction and formally of Bancroft, IA, passed away with his family by his side on January 2, 2013. Cecil was born on August 7, 1929, in Aplington, IA. After serving in the Marine Corp, he married Evelyn Royce Fischer on January 13, 1949. Cecil and Evelyn farmed near Bancroft and Conesville, IA until they retired to Columbus Junction, IA.

Cecil is survived by his wife, Evelyn; daughter, Dianna Neukircher (Kenneth) of Chaska MN, son, Dean (Kathy) of Medford, MN, and daughter, Donna of Farmington, MN; granddaughters, Shelly Neukircher of Powell, OH, Cindy Neukircher of Crystal, MN, Teena Garrido (Adan) of Chaska MN, grandson, Daryl Mennen (Nicole) of Greensboro, NC, and granddaughter, Doreen Gould (Sheldon) of Tuscon AZ; great-grandchildren, Joseph Dodge, Steffany and Diego Garrido of Chaska, MN, great-grandsons, Dylan, Luke, and Colby Mennen of Greensboro NC and Gauge Gould of Tuscon AZ; sister-in-law, Dixie Mennen (Richard) of Mason City, IA, and sisters, Eunice Kuhn (Harold) of Charles City, IA, Imogene Moyle (Rocky) of Springfield, MO, Delores Herrington (Bob) of Cedar Rapids, IA, Rosie Andreassen (Terry) of Waterloo, IA and many other family members.

He is preceded in death by a son, Daryl Lavern, parents, Ecko and Florence (Fanny), sisters, Florence Janssen, Elva Dreier, Gertrude Neymeyer, brothers, Ecko, Jr., Richard, Gorden and a great-grandson, Boden Mennen. Cecil will be cremated and no services will be held.
