Jean Wathen, 76, of Columbus Junction, died Tuesday, November 20, 2012, at the Washington County Hospital.
Private memorial services will be held at a later date. The Stacy-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services is caring for Jean and her family. Online condolences may be left to the family at www.lewisfuneralhomes.com.

Lola Jean Murry was born August 5, 1936, in Van Wert, Iowa, the daughter of Earl G. and Frances E. (Tompkins) Murry. On October 20, 1951, Jean married Ronald Partington. They later divorced. On January 4, 1965, Jean was united in marriage to Adrian ‘Al’ Wathen in Kahoka, Missouri. She had worked as a restaurant cook and waitress at Harold’s Place in Columbus Junction. She had been associated with the United Methodist Church and St. Joseph Catholic Church. She enjoyed bowling, playing bingo and board games and especially spending time with her grandchildren and attending their many activities.

Jean will be dearly missed by her children, Reena Walkling and her husband, Ralph of Philadelphia, PA, Martin Partington and his significant other, Terry Annette of Florida City, FL, Adrian ‘Duffy’ Wathen and his wife, Lisa of Naches, WA and Mary Wathen of Columbus Junction; ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; brothers, Gerald Murry and wife, Beverly of Columbus Junction, Dennis Murry of Monroe, OR, and Ronald Murry and wife, Martha of Columbus Junction; sisters, Lula Wilson and Bonnie Wheeler, both of Columbus Junction.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Anne Wathen; and ex-husband and husband.
