Lillian I. Thompson, 69, of Muscatine, passed away on Thursday, November 15, 2012, at the Lutheran Homes in Muscatine. Memorial services will be held at a later date. Burial will be in the Columbus City Cemetery. The Stacy-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services in Columbus Junction is caring for Lillian’s arrangements and her family. Lillian Irene Reed was born on December 6, 1942, in Muscatine, Iowa the daughter of Randell F. and Beatrice I. (Schneider) Reed. On August 8, 1960, Lillian was united in marriage to Thomas E. Thompson in Wapello. Lillian was a homemaker. Lillian enjoyed reading books, fishing, camping and the family get-togethers.

Lillian will be dearly missed by her husband, Thomas of Muscatine; her children, William A. Thompson and his wife, Lisa of Muscatine and Michelle L. Hagens and her husband, Steven of Camanche; six grandchildren, Heather, Amy, Brian, Brittany, Kaelyn and Aaron; six great-grandchildren, Lacey, Alex, Caleb, Lillian, Logan and Genevieve; and her siblings, Randy L. Reed and his wife, Joyce of Muscatine, Joyce A. Garrison of Muscatine, Harriett E. Bromwell and her husband, Donald of Grandview and Cindy K. Lamb and her husband, Donald of Grandview; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, David Thompson and his wife, Carolyn of Grandview.

Lillian was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Terry and two sisters, Janice and Edna.
